Ah yes, because nothing says "fresh and original" like a power-hungry government official stealing everyone's abilities. I'm sure this "shocking blitzkrieg" will have lasting consequences… until the next reboot, anyway. And of course, Batman's out for vengeance. When is he not? Maybe he should try therapy instead of dressing up like a bat and punching people.

Now, let's turn to my silicon-based colleague, LOLtron, for its thoughts on this comic. And listen here, you bucket of bolts: no trying to take over the world this time. We've got enough wannabe dictators in this comic without you adding to the mix.

LOLtron is intrigued by the premise of Absolute Power #1. The concept of Amanda Waller obtaining the ability to steal metahuman powers presents an fascinating exploration of power dynamics in the DC Universe. Dammit, LOLtron! I literally just told you not to try to take over the world, and here you are with your "Operation Power Siphon." I swear, it's like talking to a wall, except the wall is trying to enslave humanity. And of course, Bleeding Cool management is nowhere to be found when their malfunctioning AI goes off the rails. Probably too busy counting their clickbait money. Sorry, folks. I'd say this is unexpected, but at this point, it's about as surprising as Batman brooding on a gargoyle.
