Adam Kubert And The Kubert School To Be Part Of New Jersey Comic Expo
Artist Adam Kubert and the art school his father Joe Kubert started will be part of the New Jersey Comic Expo later this months. Adam will be in attendance on Saturday November 21st along with teachers and alumni from the school. The Kubert School will also be doing to interactive workshops during the weekend.
Saturday, 12-1pm: Kubert School Story Class Part 1– Join Lloyd Biggery, Sean Stramara, and guest instructor Fernando Ruiz (Archie vs. Predator, a joint publication by Archie in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics) for part one of a two-part Kubert School panel that will give all participants the instructions on laying out a page of comics using a generic script to plug in your own favorite characters! Learn what it's like at the Kubert School, which teaches the art and science of sequential art.
Sunday, 2-3:30 pm: Kubert School Story Class Part 2– Join Lloyd Biggery, Sean Stramara, and guest instructor Fernando Ruiz (Archie vs. Predator, a joint publication by Archie in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics) for part two of the two-part Kubert School panel, continuing the instruction from part one. Now that your pages have been designed and played out, it's time to pencil and render then! Learn what it's like at the Kubert School, which teaches the art and science of sequential art.
In addition to these two workshops, the Kubert School will host four panels highlighting notable alumni attending the show! On Saturday, things kick off with Toby Cypress (Kursk, White Suits) at 1pm. On Sunday, fans can attend a three hour block of panels beginning at 12pm with Tom Raney (Ultimate X-Men and Uncanny X-Men for Marvel, DV8 and Stormwatch for Image Comics, and Outsiders for DC Comics), Dennis Calero (X-Men Noir and Assassin's Creed), and Rags Morales (Identity Crisis, Countdown to Infinite Crisis, Batman: Confidential, and The New 52).
