Al Ewing Steps Into The Chris Claremont/John Byrne War From Thirty Years Ago
From Uncanny X-Men by Chris Clarmeont and Dave Cockrum, after John Byrne had left the book.
Then from a subsequent issue of Fantastic Four by John Byrne.
Shots were fired… as Jim Shooter said "He was the one who brought John Byrne in there. They had a falling out. And so John Byrne goes on to do Alpha Flight and other things. Chris gets other artists and marches on with X-Men. In the various other books he was doing, FF, Alpha Flight, whatever, John would do these stories… like if Chris was using Doctor Doom in an X-Men story, then John would do a story that proved that the Doctor Doom Chris had used was a robot."
And now thirty years later, Al Ewing joins in, in today's Loki: Agent Of Asgard, two panel tiers schmooshed together below…
Basically negating the John Byrne story. Or at least horridly confusing it all. Feel free to unpick if you like…
