Exclusive: Educated Corpses – The Making Of A Book Cover
Some of you know that besides writing articles for Bleeding Cool, I also write comics, novels and whatever else folks will pay me to do. On the prose front, I have a series of novels published by Dark Muse Press based on a detective named Jimmy Doyle and an occultist named Lucius Fogg who deal with the supernatural that exists in 1950's New York. It's a mix of hard-boiled crime and horror.
My cover artist for the books is Jason Crager, a very talented person and an old friend. Here are the first two covers he did for Deadly Creatures and Malicious Intent.
The third book, Educated Corpses, like the others will be available in print or digital on amazon.com this week. While I spent Free Comic Book Day at the Comic Bug, Jason spent the weekend finishing up the cover and sending my photos along the way. Here are the photos I got showing his process and the final piece.
I'll be debuting the first chapter of Educated Corpses here on BC soon.
