Follow Wirt And Greg On A New Over The Garden Wall Adventure
I want to start off by saying that I've heard a lot of buzz about this TV show, and every single time I came across an advertisement for it, I was in awe about the adorable style. What show am I talking about? That would be Cartoon Network's first ever original animated miniseries, Over the Garden Wall, which will now be releasing in comic form from KaBOOM! The story follows Over the Garden Wall's two half-brothers trying to find their way home. Because KaBOOM! loved the story so much, they decided to publish a companion one-shot. Fans quickly snatched that up craving more of the creative world. Now, they're expanding the world of Over the Garden Wall with a full length story written by Pat McHale, with art by Jim Campbell.
The story will be set between episodes 3 and 4 of the animated series, and will follow Wirt and Greg as they try to hitch a ride out of schooltown, but end up having to walk. Soon, they come upon two girls playing, and wind up having to keep them entertained so that they don't wake their giant father. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about this one. If you're skeptical about the storyline, just take a look at the adorable cover below. The show and now comic have a whimsical style about them that reminds me of the main character in Kerascoet's Beautiful Darkness. Be sure to check out Over The Garden Wall #1 when it releases this August.
