In an announcement on THR, former DC Entertainment and Disney Press editor Janelle Asselin has made a deal between her imprint Rosy Press and publisher Oni Press to bring the digital series Fresh Romance to comic shops. The series was launched after a successful crowdfunding campaign almost a year ago. As the series grew in popularity, a demand for a print version grew as well prompting Asselin to make the deal to reach a wider market.
This is part of Fresh February, a month-long promotion for the series that includes a price drop on the previously released digital editions and the debut of a digital collection of the strip School Spirit by Kate Leth, Arielle Jovellanos and Amanda Scurti. Plus on Feb. 24 there is the release of the seventh issue of Fresh Romance.
There is a new Kickstarter to go with the print edition which will offer a special edition of the book along with other rewards.
