Missed Out On The Con Exclusive Hardcover Of Hit: 1955? BOOM! Studios Will Be Releasing It This August
You might be aware of the crime noir series Hit: 1955, and its more recent collow up of Hit: 1957. But were you aware that you will be able to get your hands on a previously con exclusive hardcover edition? This August, BOOM! Studios is making that possible. Hit: 1955 Limited Edition HC, written by Bryce Carlson, with art by Vanesa R. Del Rey will collect issues #1-4 of the Harvey Award nominated series, along with some never before seen exclusive content.
BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Cheif Matt Gagnon, once praised the series by saying: "Hit is one of my favorite books we've ever published".
For those of you who don't know, Hit: 1955 follows the story of Detective Harvey Slater who has two sides to him. One that you'll see being a homicide detective chasing cigarettes with a few fingers of bourbon, and another that is a hitman who spends his nights making "untouchable" criminals disappear for the Los Angeles Police Department. But when he re-encounters a blonde bombshell from his past, and a crime syndicate trying to muscle in while Mickey Cohen's in prison, all bets are off. Now, Slater must open his eyes to who he really is. It's obvious that the storyline to this book is awesome, but what really catches my attention is Del Rey's beautiful artwork. If you're a fan of the series be sure to keep your eyes open for this special release in August. Quantities will be limited.
