Everyone has been getting new jobs in the Marvel Universe. Peter Parker is a science researcher for Horizon. Wolverine is headmaster of the Jean Grey school. And now, it seems, Mister Fantastic has received a higher calling.

In the new issue of Fantastic Four, out today, while Captain America and the Avengers are calling on the President to approve neocon-style actions regarding the newly purchased island of Barbuda by A.I.M., Mister Fantastic has a solution more suited to the likes of Kofi Anan.

By becoming the American ambassador to the island nation. And all that that entails…
