No Heroine #1 Sold Out Two Weeks Ahead of Release

No Heroine #1 from Dead End Kids writer Frank Gogol has sold out at Diamond a full two weeks ahead of its 7/22 release. This is the second debut issue of a series to sell out for the young writer in the past year.

Though the series from Source Point Press doesn't release for another two weeks, the retailer exclusives for No Heroine have done quite well on eBay already. The long-sold-out Hive Comics exclusive for No Heroine #1 by Peach Momoko has regularly sold for $100 or more over the last couple of months. A rarer, 9.8-graded metal version of the same cover sold recently for more than $1000, making it one of the highest-selling Momoko covers sold to-date.

While No Heroine #1 may be back-ordered at Diamond, there are still a couple of opportunities to preorder it for between $3.99 and $9.99 on eBay, though these listings will likely disappear as word of the issue's sell out gets around.

Does Gogol have another hit on his hands like he did with Dead End Kids? Will No Heroine #1 get a second printing too? Only time will tell, but it certainly seems possible that lightning might strike twice for the up-and-coming writer.
