American Horror Story: Apocalypse Season 8, Episode 8 'Sojourn': Cody Fern Saves Weak Outing (REVIEW)
Welcome back to Bleeding Cool's weekly review of FX's American Horror Story: Apocalypse, where this week we're looking at the eighth episode (a Halloween night edition) of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's popular horror anthology series, 'Sojourn.'
Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) isn't leaving anything to chance in the coming war with Michael Langdon (Cody Fern): Madison (Emma Roberts) and Behold (Billy Porter) did some off-site reconnaissance work over at what remained of "Murder House;" Bubbles (Joan Collins) and Myrtle (Frances Conroy) took care of that warlock problem; and Coco (Leslie Grossman) helped take down Langdon's "Lady Macbeth," Mead (Kathy Bates). Not a bad position for the Coven to find themselves in…but as American Horror Story: Apocalypse 'Sojourn' showed us, Langdon's not going down quietly…
Check out our review and see why this episode was a bit a of letdown with some wasted opportunities – saved only by Fern's continued impressive turn as the series' ultimate "Big Bad."
Spoiler Warning: I'll be covering some themes and takeaways involving major and minor plot points from the episode, so just keep that in mind. Definitely not looking for pitchforks and torches outside my apartment.
