Arune Singh Leaves Marvel Comics
I first met Arune Singh when he used to work at CBR and, occasionally, edited my old column Lying In The Gutters there.
He got snapped up by Marvel Comics, naturally, and worked in their sales and marketing department, rising the ranks, where we would regularly fence over one story or another. Once describing his relationship with me as that of negotiating with a terrorist, he and Patty Jeres at DC are probably the two most successful company types who have persuaded me to sheath my sword on a number of occasions. Even while he was getting married.
Then he was whisked off to Marvel Television where, apparently, he had to real with hundreds of versions of me over on the the TV and film side. Just as sucessfully I am sure.
And now he is off, again, to pastures new. I understand he handed his notice in on Tuesday, just after Comic Con…
Good luck, Arune, wherever you are off to. I do hope our swords will touch once more.
