Avengers #1 From Brian Bendis And Mark Bagley?

You may have noticed that Marvel Films will be releasing a movie, The Avengers, next summer starring Samuel L Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Emsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlet Johannson and the like.

With all that attention, it looks as if Marvel Comics thought they deserved a little as well.

Bleeding Cool has been told that around that time we may expect to see a new Avengers #1, by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, the creative team that brought us Ultimate Spider-Man and their new creator owned series, Brilliant!

I think we might expect to learn something more at New York Comic Con this week. Or not. See what kind of mood they are in…
