Diamond Adjusts Kick Ass 2 #5 Orders To Match Those Of #4
Bleeding Cool previously ran the story of how Diamond and Marvel managed to miss Kick Ass #5 from its November retailer order form, adding it as a "retro-solicitation" in its December Previews, for November, but coming up as an "order again" issue by mistake.
As a result a number of retailers ordered no copies or very few. Marvel publicised the issue in a number of places, but clearly the word didn't reach everyone Marvel would have liked.
As a result, Diamond and Marvel have decided to automatically adjust retailers orders who missed out on a standard order for issue 5 to match their numbers for issue 4. Retailers can then amend their order numbers on the Final Order Cut-Off (FOC) system if they wish, which has been extended to the end of the month. As a result, the issue will slip a week on schedule from November the 15th to November 23rd.
This may make for an interesting precedent. Could publishers have the ability to amend retailers orders on other products in the future? This may have special circumstances bit I can see some retailers not being happy with these kind of remote control ordering decisions.
But it does give me the chance to show off the Cosplay Variant cover for the comic though…
