Tales Of Tattoos At MorrisonCon And Blondie's Next Cover Artist

The Hard Rock Hotel hosting MorrisonCon last weekend, has a tattoo parlour onsite, conveniently one lob of a beer bottle from the convention hall.

And one bottle of beer was about all it took.

Which is why plenty of young folk were getting pople to draw on their bodies the past weekend, before legging it across the hall to make it more permanent.

One girl got Grant Morrison's signature on one arm and Gerard Way's on the other on the first day. Another trio of supremely excited individuals got Frank Quitely to draw wobbly superman logos all over their bits, before legging it off to get them inked over. Someone else got a barbelith thingy.

And Jason Aaron stapled a hundred dollar bill to a lady's head onstage while Akira The Don chopped up the theme from Macross Plus live. He looked so calm and beatific in the process. The lady in question was a quite brilliant extreme human bodysports entertainer and a massive JH Williams fan.

Oh yes, and JH Williams III also revealed at his panel that  he's doing the artwork for the next Blondie record, including designing their outfits.

What a world…
