By Joe Cammisa
[audio:http://joecam.net/SML/SML-e079.mp3]Monday night is here and it's time for The SML Podcast Episode 79: Gamescom Goodness here on Bleeding Cool!
It's that time of year again! Nope, not E3, but almost as good with the amount of stuff to talk about! Gamescom 2014 happened in Germany this past week and Kris and I are ready to dive into all the big news and controversy that surrounded the event as we cover all the big reveals!
The biggest news is, of course, the reveal that Rise of the Tomb Raider is an Xbox platform exclusive in holiday 2015 and while we all expect it will eventually hit other platforms, it's a huge victory for Xbox gamers.
Aside from Gamescom, we also delve into the recent news of a lawsuit being filed against Sony over the resolution of Killzone for the PS4, the changes happening over at Twitch, Ryse heading to PC, and plenty more!
Check out the mp3 of the show here or check out the YouTube version!
If that doesn't work for you, you can check us out on iTunes and subscribe to us and get all of the episodes a few days early!
We end this week's show with some rarities from SML favorite The OneUps. Between rare tracks and never before heard live performances dating all the way back to when they were still called The OneUp Mushrooms, this is a week of music you don't want to miss!
The OneUps – City Lights (Axelay – Live at The OUS BBQ 2)
The OneUps – Isle de Kirby (Kirby's Dream Land – Dwelling of Duels)
The OneUps – Flying Man (EarthBound – 2003 Live Demo)
The OneUps – Crash Man (Mega Man II – Child Play 2008 Album)
The OneUps – What the Heck? (Earthworm Jim – Tallarico Tribute Album)
