Wizard To Hypothetically Buy North Carolina Comic ComThose of you who know me well know that I appreciate shameless huckstering in comics. From Stan Lee to Mark Millar, the ability to whip a crowd into a frenzy over basically nothing is a real skill and can be expertly played.

I'm not sure how true it is in this case.

I've just received a press release from the New Carolina Comic Con headlined "Is this the next Wizard World acquisition?" before pointing out that Wizard World has been buying up all sorts of conventions of late and inviting me to draw the conclusion that they may be next.

Basically, all but putting a sign out front saying "Gareb Shamus, Please Buy Us"

And saying "why not come and see us before we make it big and get all Wizardworlded?"

At which point then they get round to outlining some of the creators and events at the show this weekend, including Jim Valentino, Bernard Chang, Tommy Lee Edwards, Andy Kuhn, Brian Clevinger, Scott Wegner, Chris Giarusso, Jeremy Bastion and more.

So there you go folks. It starts tomorrow. Go before they have to bring in the wrestlers. If, in fact, they ever will…
