Zeb Wells Off Elektra, Haden Blackman On – What Happened?

elektraWell that was fast.

Teased, then announced at New York Comic Con, a new Elektra series was set to debut from Marvel Comics in March. Reinventing Frank Miller's character and star of panel and screen, it was one of a number of new solo female character books from Marvel as part of the All New Marvel NOW relaunch programme, and also one of a number of characters one might generously call B-Listers, all being given their shot at the top. And Zeb Wells was the writer in charge.

But that was before his new TV show got picked up….

And now the book is coming out in April, with new writer Hayden Blackman, and the same artist, Mike Del Mondo. It even appears to have the same cover.

So, commiserations, Zeb. And congratulations too!
