Spawn #302 Comes Back Down to $2.99 – and Gets a New Todd McFarlane Cover

We thought for a minute we had lost it. Spawn #302 was solicited as a $3.99 comic book. The only remaining Image Comics title at that price point, and the only one amongst the main comic book publishers, aside from Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo comic books over at DC Comics.

But it seems that was an error. Retailers have now been told that a) Todd McFarlane will be inking Jason Shawn Alexander and drawing a five-page story in the comic humself, b) it, and subsequent issues of Spawn, will return to $2.99 and c) it will have a new cover by Todd McFarlane in both a trade dress and virgin cover variant, all orders open.

We don't know what the new cover will look like but here are the Todd McFarlane/Greg Capullo standard covers to Spawn #302 while we wait.
