Star Wars Fan Starts Another Petition But It's Not What You Think

With all of the backlash to movies like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans might be a little wary of checking out a petition started about Star Wars for fear of what it might contain. A request to remake the entirety of Last Jedi to meet fan specifications? A demand to release the Synder… sorry, Abrams Cut of Rise of Skywalker? Not this one. Star Wars fan Mason Carr has started a petition asking Marvel Comics to create a comic book following up on the relationship between Iden Versio and Del Meeko after the Battle of Jakku and before The Force Awakens. Guess the copious amounts of fan-fiction isn't enough?

"After the ending of Star Wars Battlefront II's main campaign story, and resurrection campaign as well, I was wondering, what is going on with Iden between After the Battle of Jakku & The Force Awakens, and when was the birth of Zay?" Carr writes on the petition's Change.org page. "This petition is for Marvel Comics to make a comic book series all about Iden Versio and Del Meeko that focuses on their story between after Battle of Jakku & The Force Awakens. I bet there could be Star Wars & Iden fans wondering what was happening after Battle Of Jakku & before Episode VII?"

"If you want to know what happened, you can consider signing this petition," Carr continues. "This could reveal the Birth of Zay, on what year she was born in and Iden giving birth to her, how Del went missing right before the Battlefront II main campaign ending, etc. And could also explore more of Shriv as well, And maybe could also use a great Writer for the story as well for fans to enjoy. Also, it could introduce some new characters into the Star Wars universe, as well as new planets too. If you want Iden's story to expand, consider signing. Especially if you are a Star Wars fan." We're tempted to sign it if for no other reason than it isn't yet another petition complaining about something. If that interests you as well, head to the Change.org page to sign on. The petition has more than six-hundred signatures so far.
