The Cybertronic SpreeSi Spurrier reminds us that there's a 2000AD-esque signing at Forbidden Planet and London today, 6-7pm. Rob Williams, Al Ewing and Si Spurrier, celebrating the release of the big unholy Dredd-world crossover thing, Trifecta.

Wordburglar lets us know that on Saturday, the 3rd Annual Nerd Noise Night will be taking place at Fan Expo Toronto, where he is releasing his new album Welcome To Cobra Island, and the Cybertronic Spree will be performing in full Transformer costume, the entire soundtrack to the 1987 Transformers Movie. And giveaways and prizes from: Nintendo of Canada, Sony PlayStation Canada, Ubisoft Canada, Paramount Home Video, XSEED Games, Silver Snail Comics & Toys and more. Tickets here.

Caption, the long standing British small press comics convention at the East Oxford Community Centre in Oxford is on this weekend with guests Rian Hughes, Andrzej Klimowski, Danusia Schebal, Al Davison, Paul Collicutt , Karen Rubins, Ian Rakoff and Charles Cutting, from 11am till 11pm on Saturday and 11pm to 5pm on Sunday.

A little further ahead, City Lit are running the first of their Fast Forward talks at Gosh, London, with John Miers of Solipsistic Pop giving a talk on Visual Storytelling techniques on Tuesday September 17 from 7pm-8.30pm. He will be addressing the question: Are comics art or literature- or are they both, neither, and something else entirely all at once? Tickets are free, here.
