Wolverine, In Memoriam

Often when Marvel relaunches a prominent book, they run a retailer promotion called a "party", to get a little audience participation going on.

Well, that might be a little tasteless when it comes to The Death Of Wolverine.

So, instead they are planning a "Memorial" for September 3rd for comic stores to participate.

wolvWhether that means turned up to your comic shop in black, wearing an armband or bringing a wreath, I don't know.

But waiting for you, alongside Death Of Wolverine #1 will be a bunch of stuff…

Retailers have to order 275% of their orders for All-New X-Men #25, estimated by ICV2 as selling 63,827, to qualify for everything, They can then order as many copies of the Deadpool Memorial Variant cover as they want, will receive one free copy of the Deadpool Memorial Sketch Variant, one bundle of 20 Skottie Young lithographs (and can order more) three free bundles of Wolverine Memorial cards, 100 postcards, two copies of a Death Of Wolverine #1 Premiere variant as well as shelf talkers, a listing of their store's name and address as a participant in in a story on Marvel.com, Twitter and Facebook, and other mass media promotion as well as getting a major discount on ordering it all.

Also, there's a Joe Quesada variant cover (1:100),  Quesada sketch variant (1:500),  the Ferry variant (1:50), the Alex Ross 75th Anniversary variant (1:75), a Ross sketch  variant (1:300) and order as many of the Skottie Young variant covers as you wish.

And then it starts all over again the next week with issue two…
