Bleeding Cool previously reported that Tom King would be launching a Trinity comic book, based on the strips that have been running in Wonder Woman drawn by Belen Ortega. The possibly-adopted daughter of Wonder Woman, Trunity has been depicted as a young kid, a young teenager and an adult teenager Bleeding Cool reported that the new series will see all three versions of Trinity at the same time and place, working together. In a clear take on the way Wonder Woman stories were told in the fifties and sixties.
But what will their quest be? Turns out that it might be for their father. We presume, based on current Wonder Woman storylines that the Amazon Emelie is the mother of Trinity and Wonder Woman is her adoptive mother. Emelie is the one who murdered seventeen men in a pool hall. While, at San Diego Comic-Con, Tom King revealed that "You finally get to see who Trinity's father is in issue #14… one of my biggest projects yet." And Trinity's story, all three together, will be about tracking him down.
Trinity wields (or will wield) the Three Lassos of Fate: silver, gold, and black. Her first story saw her using her friendship with the future Superman and Batman to assist with a quest inside a Greek cave that imprisons The Sovereign who promises to tell her the truths denied her about her parents. Since then we have seen The Sovereign narrate the current Wonder Woman series, which has seen the US Government turn entirely against the Amazons, a story that Tom King says will conclude with issue 20 of the series. But it looks Trinity's own story will continue beyond that in her own comic book series.
