A Weird Bunny's World in My Brother Rabbit from PAX West
Artifex Mundi brought a couple of games to PAX West this year for us to try out, the first of which is a puzzle game called My Brother Rabbit. I'll be honest, I'm not really sure what to make of this game as it has a bit if a weird little story going for it. First, you're in the real world where you're an older brother who watches his younger sister get sick. So he entertains her with stories of their stuffed rabbit doll to make her feel better. Then, you're transported to the world of the rabbit where you're also the brother and the sister is represented by another woodland creature who is also sick.
At some point, My Brother Rabbit turns into a puzzle game that has a lot of weird stuff going for it. It's entertaining to a degree, but it's also kind of confusing as to the elements we had to interact with. I can't fault them devs for getting original with the game, but at the same time, they made it just a few shades extra confusing for no other reason other than to be original. At least, that's what we took away from it. We'll find out more about it when it's released sometime this fall.
