Anakin's Starfighter Blasts in to Star Wars: X-Wing!
The ships of the prequel trilogy were one of the cooler aspects of the series, lending a sleek art deco aesthetic to the ships of the Republic. With Fantasy Flight Games moving into the ships of the Clone Wars era for their X-Wing game, we're about to see a lot of great looking miniatures!
It is a desperate time for the Galactic Republic. Assailed on all sides by the nefarious Separatist Alliance, the Senate has dispatched the Jedi Knights to the far reaches of the galaxy to lead a valiant defense. As the battles of the Clone Wars tear across countless worlds, the Jedi turn to the power of the Force to hone their reflexes and give them an advantage—both on the ground and in the skies above.
The Delta-7 Aethersprite starfighter is about to blast its way onto your X-Wing table, and should be a welcome addition to Republic players looking for some strong backup for their clone fighters.
The Delta-7 Aethersprite starfighter expansion will be released in the color scheme favored by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, but also features three other Jedi pilots that can be fielded in his stead. There will also be six unique upgrade cards for the new fighter, allowing for plenty of versatility if you decide to field multiple Aethersprite fighters.
Aside from Anakin, Republic players will be able to field the Padawan learners Ahsoka Tano. and Barris Offee, or the Jedi Knight Luminara Unduli, who can use her formidable Force powers to lesson or negate damage from enemy ships.
Upgrade cards will allow you to field the Aethersprite Delta-7B configuration, which sacrifices some maneuverability for extra shields and firepower. The Calibrated Laser Targeting upgrade adds a focus result to attacks made in the Aethersprite's bulls-eye zone.
