Assassin's Creed: Origins looks like it will be getting a new game plus mode sometime in the near future.
Assassin's Creed has never been a series that's felt like it's demanded a new game plus mode. There is so much to do in its worlds, so many sidequests and collectables to collect that you could busy yourself to the point of exhaustion. Some even criticised the series for its extensive busyness. That said, the franchise definitely has a hardcore base that play the games over and over, so it's a feature that would certainly command an audience if it were ever implemented.
Well, if you are an Assassin's Creed: Origins fan, you might have your reason to pop back in. Speaking in a Reddit post, Community Manager Dominik Voigt gave a pretty clear answer as to if the game will be getting a New Game Plus mode. He replied:
New Game + is coming. We'll have more information to share soon.
There is no date on any of this, so it's up to us to guess when this might arrive. Presumably, when it does though, the game will be much tougher, but thankfully allow you to keep the loot you've earned from the previous playthrough. As I've said, the series isn't really known for the addition of the mode so its great to see Ubisoft extend support for the game and into new territories. It's heartening to see. By most accounts, the developers knocked it out the park with Origins, and the fact there are still players clambering to still play it despite putting the extensive hours into the title, is a great endorsement around the enthusiasm for the title.
