Chill Out with "Coffee Talk," A Nostalgic Gaming Safe Space
Coffee Talk is a gorgeous pixel-tastic indie game that's all about chilling out and winding down.
If you've ever played VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, you'll likely be more than familiar with listening to other's problems. You do it just as much as you mix drinks in-game, which is an integral part of the title. It's the same with Coffee Talk, which has players hearing characters out and offering to help by offering them warm, delicious beverages.
With a '90s anime-inspired aesthetic, jazzy and lo-fi music, it's a game that's almost like your "Lo-Fi Hip-Hop and Beats to Study To" came to life. You'll create drinks out of the ingredients you have on hand in-game, create latte art, and watch how things change over time as you serve different drinks.
As you get to know the inhabitants of an alternative, near-futuristic Seattle, there's even a love story set to unfold. You'll have to pay close attention to the stories of the customers you serve, and in return you'll be rewarded with some exciting narratives.
You can try Coffee Talk out for yourself when it debuts on Switch and PC on January 29, 2020. It's also headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 30, according to developer Toge Productions. There's a lot that you can sift through when the game finally releases, and we highly recommend doing so.
