Death Stranding Getting Presentation Later This Month at Tokyo Games Show
Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding will see a new presentation later this month at the Tokyo Games Show.
Death Stranding's showing at E3 this summer certainly left some wanting a little more. We did get our first look at gameplay but it wasn't particularly involved, as we saw a few cutscenes alongside footage of Norman Reedus' character model walking a whole lot. It showed us what the game will look like but the moment to moment still isn't that clear.
Well, it seems we might get 'something' new in the next few weeks. Kojima Productions took to Twitter to announce that a 'stage show' for Death Stranding will take place at the Tokyo Games Show on September 23, 2018. It will feature director Hideo Kojima and the Japanese cast of the game. Bar that, details were sparse. The tweet read:
The real question is how big a reveal can we expect this to be? Tokyo Game Show, while certainly having its moments, isn't usually the place for big E3 style announcements any more. I wouldn't bet on us getting any new gameplay from Death Stranding, although it is certainly possible Kojima might be bringing something new just for the Japanese audience. My guess is that it might just be a reveal of already released trailers with Japanese dubbing, but we will have to see. We will be sure to bring it to you as soon as it happens.
