Death Stranding E3 Trailer Shows Off Our First Glimpse of Gameplay

During Sony's E3 press conference, Kojima Productions showed off the latest trailer for Death Stranding, giving us our best look at the game so far.

Death Stranding has been elusive for quite some time at this point. We've gotten multiple glimpses at the game, but each has been less decipherable than the last. Fans have been clamouring for any details on the game, and we were promised a glimpse at E3. Because of that, there were lofty expectations put on the shoulders of Hideo Kojima's next game.

Now, did it deliver? I… I don't really know. In what was probably our most mundane but also most informative trailer yet, we got our first look at the title supposedly being played. After all this wait, what did we see? Well, Norman Reedus walking around a bunch in between cutscenes. Towards the end of the trailer, we saw some more action parts of the game, but they seemed geared towards avoiding spooky bad guys as opposed to putting up any sort of fight. We also got some glimpses at the story, too, but honestly, your guess is as good as mine as to what is going on here. Take a look:

Still no release date though, but it's good to confirm it is some kind of third-person action game. For now, that will have to do.
