Evercade Announced Morphcat Games Collection One

Blaze Entertainment has announced a new collection of games is coming to Evercade with Morphcat Games Collection One. Unlike most of the previous collection of titles, which revolve around retro games companies who had arcade and home console hits in the '80s and '90s, you're getting a modern-day company creating classic-looking titles that feel like they would have been on the NES or SEGA Genesis. In total, you're getting five games from the company, with the primary three being Micro Mages, Spacegulls, and Böbl, as well as two bonus games in the form of Super Bat Puncher Demo and Micro Mages Second Quest. We got a trailer down for you below showing off all of the games and how they'll look on the Evercade console. As for the release date, the cartridge will come out on May 31st, 2022, with pre-orders becoming available on March 31st.

Alongside this, Spacegulls is an enjoyable platformer that is often used for speedrunning competitions and was recently featured in Games Done Quick's charity event. Bobl is a fun platformer that challenges players' skills in negotiating tricky passages through water whilst trying not to burst. Alongside the three main games are two bonus titles. The long-loved Super Bat Puncher Demo is here in all of its demo glory, and the aforementioned first publication of the expanded Micro Mages Second Quest.
