Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Announces September 2021 Schedule

Niantic has announced the September 2021 schedule for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. This slate of events will include two Brilliant Events, an Adversaries Event, the monthly Community Day, another 1920s Convergence, and more. There's a definite Dragon theme this month, so be prepared! Let's get into the details.

Ancient Ukrainian Ironbelly Adversaries Event:

3 September at 11 a.m. PT – 6 September at 11 a.m. PT

A surge of Ancient Ukrainian Ironbelly Adversaries prompts Harry to urge Gareth Greengrass to reconsider his use of Adversaries.

Now listen… it could be just me. It could be the fact that I find Adversaries Events to be nearly unplayable and by far the worst aspect of the game. I admit it… but reading this makes me wonder if Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is going to use this as a way out of Adversaries Events. The feature doesn't seem to be a hit with the community due to its immense difficulty and annoying structure which seems designed to be an item drain.

Prisoner of the Vow Brilliant Event Part 2:

6 September 11 a.m. PT – 13 September 11 a.m. PT

Gareth has offered to share what he knows about The Unforgivable and the Calamity if Harry agrees to his terms. Will he take this potentially deadly deal?

Will this close out the Gareth Greengrass storyline? I think we're building to something big here with the plot point regarding the possibility of Harry Potter taking an Unbreakable Vow. Obviously, they're not going to kill Harry, but I do like that the writers are approaching this storyline with gravitas.

1920s Wizarding World Convergence Event:

15 September 11:00 a.m. – 16 September 11:00 p.m. local time

Unlock special Portmanteaus and collect Fragments for the new 1920s Registry Page.

I saw some complaints about the style of Portkey-themed events, but I personally loved it. I did minimal walking during the event and was still able to pop multiple Portkey Portmanteaus. I look forward to these taking a slot away from Adversaries Events each month.

September Community Day:

All day Saturday, 18 September from 12:01 a.m.–11:59 p.m. local time

Dragons! Everyone loves 'em.
