Konami Announces A New "Silent Hill"… Pachinko Machine

Konami decided to make a new Silent Hill game announcement today, but not the one fans wanted to hear as they're making a Pachinko game. The story broke on Yahoo! Finance who reported the company was working with SYNKROS' SYNK Vision to make a new Pachinko game for casinos called Silent Hill Escape.

You can see the machine here, which looks like it will be a three-seat pod, more than likely to be set up as a half-dozen units within a small space of each other. According to the info released, it will have facial recognition technology, which will be interesting to see how it is integrated. We can't wait to hear what Silent Hill fans think about their favorite IP being used as a gambling machine. Here's some quotes from the announcement.

This latest cabinet is a first glimpse at great things to come from Konami."

"From the eye-catching adventure of Ba Fang Jin Bao to brand extensions like Chili Chili Fire Boosted Wins & Wilds, KX 43 caters to players with a variety of engaging entertainment."
