Magic: The Gathering Arena to Add Direct Challenge and Streamer Events
Magic: The Gathering Arena has caught fire with fans of the game so quickly that some changes are coming to the game sooner than you think! This morning it was announced that the game would be getting two major upgrades. The first is Direct Challenge, in which you'll be able to take on your friends as long as you can find their usernames, while the second is Streamer Events where specific Twitch and YouTube streamers will be doing live challenges that you can get involved in. Here are some of the details and a trailer for it all below.
To create Streamer Events, the Magic: The Gathering Arena team is working closely with different creators in the community to build customized in-game events around their unique personality and play style. These events will be recurring and will feature a variety of awesome content creators and wildly different game modes.
To top it all off, we are adding in a major feature, Direct Challenge. Direct Challenge will allow players to jump into games against their friends by searching their in-game name before going into battle. We are excited to announce that Direct Challenge will be coming in the next November update with more robust friend features on the way!
