Nintendo Announces One Last Splatoon 2 Major Splatfest

Nintendo has decided to give the fans of Splatoon 2 one last massive Splatfest for the game to go out on a bang with as they announced the Splatocalypse! At the end of the Splatoon 2 World Championships this afternoon, we got a brief video with the announcement giving us the details. There's a battle coming up between Unicorn vs. Narwhal on June 14th, but after that… The final battle to determine everything will be a classic showdown that we're surprised we never saw before. What kind of a world would you like to live in: Chaos vs. Order. This battle will feature Off The Hook members Pearl and Marina facing off against each other along with the rest of the Splatoon 2 cast. As you can see from the image below, this is going to be quite the showdown as it will run for FOUR days, July 18th-21st.

The final fest will include all the previous weapons, challenges, and level additions over all 24 levels. Plus, there will be special gear passed out for participating in the event. The final fest coincides with Nintendo's promise to support Splatoon 2 for at least two years, and at the end of the second year, you will be getting a 5.0 update with a turf war update. This will allow turf war on ALL stages including the newest level, and will also enable you to play the nighttime versions of all levels. No matter how you feel about the end coming, at least Nintendo is trying to leave the game off on a high note. Now… let the Splatoon 3 speculation begin!
