Nintendo Details Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild DLC Plans
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be getting two content expansions as part of it's DLC package. Both will be covered by one $19.99 Expansion Pass.
Both DLC expansions will be out this year, with the first scheduled for this summer. The first expansion will include the Cave of Trials challenge, a hard mode, and a "new feature for the in-game map."
The second DLC is set for the 2017 holiday season – so, around November – and will contain challenges, a new dungeon, and a "new original story."
The expansions will not be sold a la carte. Players will need to buy both together with the Expansion Pass to get any of the DLC. The Expansion Pass (much like most games' Season Passes) will be available when the game releases on March 3rd. The pass will also include three treasure chests – two containing items, while the third contains an exclusive Switch logo shirt for Link. Because of course Link needs to show off some Switch swag.
The Expansion Pass and its DLC will also be available for the Wii U version of the game, and the contents are identical.
