Portal's Alternate Ending According To Did You Know Gaming
We love the crew at Did You Know Gaming! They don't get enough credit in the public eye for being one of the coolest and most informative gaming channels on YouTube, and they should be much bigger than what they are. So we like to sing their praises whenever we can. Their latest video is an absolute treat as they explore the alternative ending that was planned out for the fan-favorite Valve title, Portal.
The video below actually explores a number of titles including Kojima's original idea for Metal Gear Solid V, but the most interesting tidbits come from the thoughts on Portal. Having watched the video and listening to them, we agree with Valve and the video in general that a lot of these ideas were poor concepts and ultimately "sucked." This included the idea that the ending ont he moon was originally concieved to be a false reality and that, much like the cake, would be an absolute lie that would lead to the eventual real ending. The video is totally worth a watch just to see what weird and crazy paths some of your favorite games might have gone in, both for better and for worse.
