Rumor: A New Nintendo Switch Model Is Coming In 2020

If you believe the latest rumors about the Nintendo Switch, it sounds like we'll be seeing a new version of the console sometime in 2020. According to the Taiwanese tech website called DigiTimes, Nintendo is reportedly going to be ramping up production of the Nintendo Switch sometime in Q1 of 2020. The goal is that they are producing a new model of the console that will have more memory, better HD graphics, and a longer battery life. And that we will end up seeing this console on the market sometime in mid-2020.

Now for the past few weeks, people have been speculating that a new version of the Switch is on the way, but it's mostly been from analysist and forums with a bunch of hearsay. No one has actually seen a production order from the company, or patent plans, or any other indication this is going to happen. So at the moment, we're saying this is just a rumor because there's little to back it up. Just guesswork based on the company's movements, which could also go in a few other directions. We'll know if it's for real by April 2020, if production has kicked off before then or not.
