Shelter Of Exiles Announces New Playtest This January

Would you like to try out Shelter Of Exiles? The folks at Pixel Trapps are setting up a Playtest to take place sometime in January.

Indie game developer and publisher Pixel Trapps announced they will allow people to playtest Shelter Of Exiles and are taking signups now. The team has put up a link on the game's Steam page for players to sign up for the Playtest, which they haven't put a solid date on yet, but we do know it will happen in January. You'll get access to an early build of the game that they want to see how it runs and have you report any issues you come across. We have more info on the game below, along with the teaser trailer.

In the vein of classic RPGs, roam and unveil new regions on the world map, partake in activities, and immerse yourself in the game's lore. Extend your influence on the continent to discover forgotten artifacts and extract precious resources.  Humans populated this continent many years ago. Now, their heritage remains hidden in ruins, inhabited by strange and unknown beings, waiting to be discovered once again. Learn their tales and decide whose side you're on in the factional competition for a new dwelling place.

On the continent, you'll find potent magic crystals entrapping the souls of past heroes who will lend you their abilities. But you aren't the only seeker. A fallen prince, the last to recall the continent's past, searches for a crown that will allow him to subdue the spirit of the emerging factions. Discord runs deep among races, but could a mutual adversary unite you?  In Shelter of Exiles, you engage foes in hexagonal arenas with real-time combat. Deploy your ability arsenal and distinctive weapons to dominate the battlefield. Tactical combat grids challenge you with terrain traps, special effects, and unique zones—utilize the land to your advantage.  Thrilling escapades can't last forever.
