Square Enix Showed Off Dissidia Final Fantasy NT At E3

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Square Enix had announced Dissidia Final Fantasy NT just before E3, and yet the console port of the Final Fantasy fighter never made it to any of the major press conferences. But that didn't mean we weren't going to be seeing the game at E3. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is one of the playable games at the Square Enix booth at E3, and they also took some time during their panel yesterday to show off the game in action.

While I can't give you a demo of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, I can give you an awesome 8 minute video featuring the demo in action. So it's sort of the next-next best thing to having the game in your hands. Better would be seeing it played by some random player on Twitch, but we'll work with what we have. And thankfully the source material isn't too bad. It's not hard to make a fighting game based in the many worlds of Final Fantasy seem epic. The individual properties do enough of that on their own, but now we can yet again settle some bar-room bets on just who plays the best Sephiroth.

The video I'm going to drop in here comes from PlayStation's E3 coverage, so do bear with the talking heads a bit.

Before watching the video, though, here is the description of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, courtesy of PlayStation's Youtube channel.

Iconic heroes and notorious villains from across the Final Fantasy universe come together for a battle that will shatter the very foundations of the world. Watch new footage of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on PS4, recorded live from E3 2017 in Los Angeles.
