Outright Games has decided to corner the market on a Christmas video game with a new edition, as The Grinch: Christmas Adventures – Holiday Edition arrives this September. Normally, we don't give too much grief for physical editions, but this one is quite literally a cash grab as they are releasing it several months after the game came out digitally, and the only thing inside it are four postcards. If you're a fan of the franchise, this will probably be worth your money. But if you already own the game, the only thing you're getting out of it are four postcards. The Grinch: Christmas Adventures – Holiday Edition
This new physical edition of The Grinch: Christmas Adventures' 2D platformer will be available worldwide for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. In addition to the base game, fans can look forward to receiving a set of 4 physical postcards showcasing iconic scenes and characters from the beloved Christmas tale. Featuring colorful visuals inspired by Dr. Seuss's original illustrations from the beloved story, the game puts players in the fluffy green feet of The Grinch to ruin Christmas for The Whos. Accompanied by his faithful dog Max, in up to two-player local co-op, he completes dastardly missions to steal all the presents. Players will be faced with the spirit of Christmas, from joyful singing to twinkling fairy lights, as they make their way across the iconic town of Who-ville.
Complete puzzles to unlock special abilities and gadgets that include snowballs to freeze creatures in your way, including a Santa disguise for stealthy sneaking, a lasso candy cane, and a jumping jetpack. Speed up your devious antics by traversing parts of Who-ville on a sleigh or snowboard. As the story progresses, players will discover the spirit of Christmas and help the Grinch's heart grow three sizes. Fans can expect to be fully immersed in the story as The Grinch: Christmas Adventures features recognizable environments, characters, and a host of Christmas details that will delight everyone during the festive season.
