We're a few weeks away from seeing the latest Dungeons & Dragons adventure Tomb Of Annihilation be released onto the general public, and while it's come out in a few places like D&D Beyond and the Roll 20 app (which we'll discuss at a later date), the truth is we haven't seen a lot of the primary story beyond a few different resources. So it was kinda interesting to come across a PC game at PAX West that delved into the latest addition.

BKOM Studios brought with them Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation, a fully licensed version of the game that plays in the same Sword Coast and Chult areas of the next addition to D&D, but made out more as a dungeon crawler. You'll be able to select one of four pre-made characters (with the ability to play up to four players) in a turn-based system where you'll explore dungeons and other areas to achieve objectives and make it out alive. It isn't true-to-form D&D as you'll be wandering around into areas that materialize in front of you and you're given no absolute clear path out and will need to do discovery. But all things considered, the gameplay went really well and I actually enjoyed it a lot. This game is set to be released in the fall but no hard date was given to me at the time.
