Treyarch Confirms Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles
And it's official, Treyarch is in fact making a remastered Zombie collection for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, called Zombie Chronicles, the DLC will include remastered versions of all your favorite Zombies maps from previous Call of Duty titles. The announcement was in fact made on JCBackfire's Youtube channel and was done with a simple hoodie zipper.
Backfire had Treyarch's Jason Blundell on to "talk Zombies! Yes, this is ACTUALLY happening." as the description reads on the video.
The announcement comes right at the top of the video, as JCBackfire casually unzips his hoodie to show a Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles T-shirt.
"One thing we realized was that a lot of our fans have come in later, come in at Black Ops II, or even Black Ops 3," Blundell said. "So those early storyline concepts, those early concepts that really set down the foundation of Zombies–a lot of people hadn't experienced them."
Gamespot reports that the DLC will include the following Zombies maps:
- Nacht der Untoten (World at War)
- Kino der Toten (World at War)
- Verruckt (World at War)
- Shi no Numa (World at War)
- Shangri-la (Black Ops)
- Moon (Black Ops)
- Ascension (Black Ops)
- Origins (Black Ops II)
Zombies Chronicles will be released on PS4 on May 16. Treyarch has not announced when it will come to Xbox One and PC. Past DLC packs typically arrived on Xbox and PC about a month after the PS4 release. The studio will announce more details about the DLC pack on Monday, May 8.
