Horizon: Zero Dawn Is A Single Player Focused Game

Horizon

Horizon: Zero Dawn was straight up the best AAA game I saw at E3. The concept of a beautiful, but serious take on Robot Dinosaurs reclaming a post-post-apocalyptic world speaks to me in a big way.

Giving us a better idea of what the game actually is though, Guerrilla Games art director Jan Bart Van Beek sat down with GamesRadar who said that this is a primarily single player game. He did allude that there is something online there though:

The core of the game is a single player experience, but there are certain social features in there.

As you play as one central protagonist called Alloy, this isn't that surprising. Everyone needs to be this singular protagonist, so you can't be in a fully connected world. This talk of 'social features' certainly is interesting though. Some kind of connected hunting experience off to the side of the main game? That could be fun! We will have to see.
