It Sounds Like WB Games Wants To Make More Batman Games
Rocksteady have supposedly ducked out of making Batman games now, with Arkham Knight acting as a closer to their trilogy. This has left everyone guessing as to what is going to happen next, both with Batman in games and Rocksteady.
On the PS Blog, Ames Kirshen, vice president of product development DC Comics games at Warner Bros, said that the possibilities for future games are endless.
Batman is one of the cornerstone IPs for Warner Bros. With the Arkham series, we were finally able to realize the full potential of the character.
We don't have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman.
While not a confirmation of anything, it is certainly hinting at Batman's future in games. I mean, I'm sure there weren't many of us who thought he would be left alone now, but it is good to know we can expect to see him back. The question is just, in what context?
