Nintendo Is Looking To Develop A New 3D Mario And It Could Be Mario Galaxy 3

Possibly, one of the biggest titles that Nintendo always has in the bag is a 3D Mario games. Every since Mario 64 started the trend and Mario Galaxy really cemented it, it's always been a go to. It's the trump card that Nintendo always have in their back pocket.

Well, Shigeru Miyamoto has recently talked about the next one in a interview with Eurogamer. when asked about the production of the next 3D Mario game, he said it was being discussed. He let on that it might bring together both the 3D and 2D world and that Nintendo is always looking to challenge Mario Galaxy.

[A new Mario Galaxy] is always in discussion But even with Mario 64 there was a lot of feedback about motion sickness with the 3D or maybe us making it too difficult.

We're always thinking, is there a middle ground where people who do enjoy the 3D worlds of Galaxy and those who enjoy New Super Mario Bros. can both enjoy it? We're always looking at those opportunities On the other hand, me and [Yoshiaki] Koizumi-san, director of Galaxy, are always looking to challenge Galaxy and do another 3D action title. However we can't make so many games at once in parallel.

I can't wait to see what Nintendo have up their sleeve on this front. At thins point, I don't expect to see it until the NX is launched, mind.
