Nintendo President Satoru Iwata Has Passed Away At 55
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has passed away at the age of 55. In a brief statement, Nintendo said:
Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.
He became the president of Nintendo in 2002, where he has overseen releases of the Wii and Wii U. He was appointed CEO of the company in 2013.
