You Can't Talk Every Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Boss Down

Eidos have now come out to rectify that comment and say that it is, in fact, not true. Speaking to Eurogamer, gameplay director Patrick Fortier addressed this by saying:
Some of the communication about that has been muddled a little bit. People took all different kinds of parts and muddled them into one. So, there are verbal debates with certain NPCs, [and] classic boss fights are another thing. They're two separate things. Having said that, in a classic boss fight we will support combat, stealth, lethal, non-lethal, in ways we didn't necessarily manage in Human Revolution.
So basically, while you will have options of either taking the bosses on head-on or stealthily killing them, talking to them until they decide not to fight you isn't a isn't an option. And that's a shame. I'd have love to've seen that happen. Using the story to beat bosses instead of gadgets is a pretty interesting idea.
