Why Final Fantasy XIV Is the Only Game You Will Ever Need
We still aren't at the end of Final Fantasy XIV's Stormblood lifecycle, but that doesn't matter, because you don't ever need to play another game ever again. Seriously. This game has pretty much everything. PvP, racing, crafting, in-depth lore, immersive story, live service updates, solid customer service, classy vanity items on the mog station, a companion chat app so you can keep in touch with in-game friends while offline, a collectible card game, virtual gambling, fashion shows, a novice network for new players to get advice, multiple party finding match services, housing, player-owned stores and restaurants, weddings….
The only thing Final Fantasy XIV doesn't have is an AR component. But, they have joked about it before.
Which means that could change sometime soon. Not sure if I want it to, but you know what? This game isn't just for me. Even if I kind of don't shut up about it.
And now it'll even have a contained single-player experience with Blue Mage. We're getting a third expansion in June of 2019 that allows us all to go darkside for the first time in a mainline Final Fantasy game.
And while there's still more room to grow, Game Director Naoki Yoshida (also known as Yoshi-P) has already discussed his plans to continue supporting FFXIV with new content ad infinitum.
So, go ahead BC readers: change my mind.
