A Quiet Place: Part 2 has debuted its first trailer this morning, a New Year's treat for sure! Returning to the world of monsters that attack at the first hint of sound, we pick up where the first left off. That first film was a surprise smash in 2018, taking in over $340 million at the worldwide box office on a $20 million budget, and putting director/writer John Krasinski on the job to create a sequel.
The three survivors of the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) have ventured outside of the family farm setting, having figured out how to defeat the monsters. But have they really? And what else could be waiting for them in the outside world that they may not be prepared for? Watch the trailer below, along with the synopsis and first poster as well:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
A Quiet Place: Part 2, starring Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, and Djimon Hounsou, hits theaters on March 20th.
