Colin Trevorrow Reveals the Title for "Jurassic World 3"
Well it looks like production on Jurassic World 3 has officially started and with it, we get a new piece of information. Director Colin Trevorrow took to his official twitter to reveal that not only was it day one of production but we also have a title and a logo. The title is Jurassic World: Dominion which doesn't tell us much but is a decent title for the third entry in this mega-franchise.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom wasn't exactly a critical hit, unlike the first movie, but it was a commercial success becoming the second movie in this franchise to gross over a billion dollars. Whether or not this third entry in the series is going be as big of a hit as the first two remains to be seen since there was only about a $300 million difference between the box offices for Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom, but it stands to reason that this is going to be a huge movie for summer 2021 nevertheless. Universal Pictures is likely hoping for yet another huge hit since these movies plus the Fast and Furious franchise have been more or less keeping the lights on for the studio. We've had a few hints about the script that Emily Carmichael has written will be about but now that production has started we should expect to learn more as the year goes on and the cast continues to round out.
Jurassic World: Dominion, directed by Colin Trevorrow, stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, and Scott Haze. It will be released on June 11, 2021.
