Constantine Fans Rally For DVD / Blu-ray Release

3_constantineFans of the short-lived Constantine series on NBC are still being vocal. They tried like crazy to get a second season for the show. When that failed they tried to get another network to pick it up. That didn't work, but the character played by Matt Ryan made an appearance on an episode of Arrow and now the fans are back again. This time they have put together a petition to get Constantine: Season One released on DVD / Blu-ray.

The petition sites the show runners saying the only way a season one home video would happen was if a second season would've happened. But the creators of the petition says that efforts are still happening to find a new home for the series (calling that an extreme long shot would be kind), and the only way to support that would be to show it with their dollars by buying a DVD or Blu-ray collection.

I enjoyed the series, hoped it would continue and was excited to see the character pop up on Arrow. But it takes a special kind of fan… like the fans of Firefly… to keep hope alive even when it all but seems dead. But it would be sad for those same fans not to be able to rewatch the show if they want and when they want when shows like Firefly, Birds of Prey and even the live-action Tick got home video releases and only one season.
